NZ Police Visit Tomorrow!

In preparation for “Bullying-free New Zealand Week” (16-20 May) and the launch of the website: www.BullyingFree.co.nz., Constable Duncan from the NZ Police will be visiting the Senior Syndicate tomorrow at 9:00am.

The objective of the session is to discuss the issues around bullying in New Zealand and promote a bully-free environment. This session follows the discussion started with the Life Education team about cyber bullying and encourages a strong stance on the issue from our school. In order for the message to be an active one, student follow up is important. The follow up task will involve students creating videos and/or photographs with bullying prevention messages to share on www.BullyingFree.co.nz., social media and other online channels.

Your child should have brought home a permission slip to ask for your approval in making these videos. We will not record any children who have not signed these permission slips. However, their contribution will still be required in other ways. Here is a brief run down of what is happening. If you have any questions, please feel free to see Tala, Kath or John.
